Chasing The Felon You keep on pushing us out You keep on building high-rise You keep on taking what we work for day and night You keep on selling economics You keep on buying our bliss You keep on telling us we never worth your dollar We travel from afar Looking for a new abode Since you wrecked our home We are forced to chase the felon Do you know? We are chasing the felon Now you put a barrier in Don’t know what you see Don’t know what you hear Don’t know what you feel You steal from our lands Then you turn in profits Then you leave us with the bitter taste of loss Then you teach your children in every facet of life Then my children are left wandering in hopelessness Do you know? We are chasing the felon A time is coming where the light will shed your darkness And we will sing praises to the Lord

On a bright sunny day you wake to the sounds of the beautiful birds tweeting on the porch You grab shower with the most scented lather hoping to attract the most swagger on the block You met up with your fellas at the corner of Younge and King to grab a cup of coffee On your way to work you toss the cup swap it with a magazine full of fashion data Hopping on the subway you see the same data placed in every corner of your imagination You leave the magazine on the subway heading to your next destination On the bus you find the same situation with everyone trying to play the same position You ask yourself what kind of pressure are we under? The corporate man lies behind The corporate man lies behind The pressure we are under On a joyous afternoon you yearn to endear your family to a glorious meal You head out to the nearest grocery store with the kids in the background and your wallet in your right hand Strolling down the aisle you come across some produce that you always wanted A healthy choice you must admit you so proud of your decision You zoom into the price and realize you can’t afford this abomination Your only choice is to go for what leaves you in dire health Mass production of the cheapest produce at the cheapest price to harm my family You ask yourself what kind of pressure are we under? The corporate man lies behind The corporate man lies behind The pressure we are under These days everyone is coasting in a sea of apathy enjoying the needless sentiments of luxurious living While the corporation bombard us with endless pursuit of perfection and negligence to our communities No time for family more time to earn that mighty dollar, you end up wanting more not asking yourself what you need to become a better human being and a better citizen Oh yes you want that mighty dollar, at what cost? The cost of living in slavery, never asking for your rights, never living in solidarity Oh what more could you lose? Never mind me, I guess we are all under pressure. The corporate man lies behind The corporate man lies behind The pressure we are under

We don’t need no troubles We just want our peace, Everyday we fighting, Where we go we don’t know, In their games we are the pawns that never sleep, When will it end? When will we sleep? When will we see our children? In a world that never cares for its own We sick and tired of this treatment

Scars don’t bleed they only stain our memories Scars don’t bleed they only stain our memories They don’t bleed, they don’t bleed, they only stain our memories Thumping sounds of the soldiers marching though my farmland Setting fires, blazing through my village with ammunition Mama is crying while you ask why papa lies in a pool of blood Down on my knees I ask the Lord why Scars don’t bleed they only stain our memories Scars don’t bleed they only stain our memories They don’t bleed, they don’t bleed, they only stain our memories Running from my homeland away from these warlords, Mindless men with power driven motives to wreck havoc Making deals with the devil, robbing Paul to pay Peter Leaving my nation in a state of deprivation Scars don’t bleed they only stain our memories Scars don’t bleed they only stain our memories Scars don’t bleed they only stain our memories

Do we have to wait for love? To stab us in the back Before we learn the ways of love, peace and harmony Misery has held the people hostage You never see them smile when they are working Them always tell you say money matters, Where me go sleep? What me go eat? In a world where everybody’s running Nobody seems to be thinking and Nobody seems to be loving Do we have to wait for love? To stab us in the back Before we learn the ways of love, peace and harmony They will promise you the riches of Ceasar Wild grapes and wine to drink forever Away from the people who always suffer Like a two way street downtown Accra What matters is love never fails It’s a blanket of hope sown by the Lord With strands of faith we are never down Do we have to wait for love? To stab us in the back Before we learn the ways of love, peace and harmony

Rock & Roll 02:32
We ready to rock and roll We ready to rock and roll Mystery walls take our lives like the morning dew during sunrise You never let go of the past that shattered your heart into broken pieces Don’t cry over split milk, there is always another day, always another cow We will face the battle like Ray Lewis coming out of the tunnel The time is here and now on the grid iron with no inches to give up We ready to rock and roll We ready to rock and roll So I am marching with a renewed sense of optimism Call me Malcolm I refuse all the little ways of the dark The times never change; our foes are still at the bay Ready to pounce on the jaded and misguided so put on your chinstraps And line up in the trenches because all is lost and won at the heart We ready to rock and roll We ready to rock and roll

Standing tall in the fields of my dreams I can see all the choices I made Over the hills I see my fruitful memories Blooming like lilies on a summer morning

Africa 02:51
When I say Africa, You say Stand Up, Africa Bloodshed tears fallen from the leaders of our homeland They fought for love, a revolution full of uncertainties Their work undone by the ones who cause us pain and misery You look across the board and there is less hope for our children How can the color of one man determine his fate Locked up brother is their ticket to political office Ghetto lands is insurance for their safety You see single parents living on the short end of the living wage When I say Africa, You say Stand Up, Africa The times need to change we have had enough We don’t need them stealing from our future Lord knows they have stolen from our past and They continue to keep a strangle hold on our liberties When I say Africa, You say Stand Up, Africa
