lyrics

On a bright sunny day you wake to the sounds of the beautiful birds tweeting on the porch
You grab shower with the most scented lather hoping to attract the most swagger on the block
You met up with your fellas at the corner of Younge and King to grab a cup of coffee
On your way to work you toss the cup swap it with a magazine full of fashion data
Hopping on the subway you see the same data placed in every corner of your imagination
You leave the magazine on the subway heading to your next destination
On the bus you find the same situation with everyone trying to play the same position
You ask yourself what kind of pressure are we under?

The corporate man lies behind
The corporate man lies behind
The pressure we are under
On a joyous afternoon you yearn to endear your family to a glorious meal
You head out to the nearest grocery store with the kids in the background and your wallet in your right hand
Strolling down the aisle you come across some produce that you always wanted
A healthy choice you must admit you so proud of your decision
You zoom into the price and realize you can’t afford this abomination
Your only choice is to go for what leaves you in dire health
Mass production of the cheapest produce at the cheapest price to harm my family
You ask yourself what kind of pressure are we under?

The corporate man lies behind
The corporate man lies behind
The pressure we are under

These days everyone is coasting in a sea of apathy enjoying the needless sentiments of luxurious living
While the corporation bombard us with endless pursuit of perfection and negligence to our communities
No time for family more time to earn that mighty dollar, you end up wanting more not asking yourself what you need to become a better human being and a better citizen
Oh yes you want that mighty dollar, at what cost? The cost of living in slavery, never asking for your rights, never living in solidarity
Oh what more could you lose?
Never mind me, I guess we are all under pressure.

The corporate man lies behind
The corporate man lies behind
The pressure we are under
